Wild Oregano (Origanum Onites)
One of the favorite herbs in Mediterranean cuisine, often used in seasoning blends, pairs well with meats, tomato dishes and eggs.
It is said to have anti-bacterial anti-inflammatory healing, analgesic, digestive, sudorific, antirheumatic, antiseptic and diuretic properties. Thymol and carvacrol, which are contained in large amounts in oregano, inhibit the growth of bacteria and prevents the action of free radicals.
